recycled cabinet

When my parents passed away I got this lovely old cabinet from them, it was covered in about six layers of white paint! (my dear old dad just loved his white paint) my husband lovingly stripped it back for me and it now displays old china which I love collecting from any and everywhere! I just can't pass up a bit of Carlton ware. I am wondering whether to put glass in the top two cupboards - does anyone have any ideas? I dont really want it covering up the china though so a bit of a dilemma. maybe I will just leave it is it is. I even left the orginial red handles on it, which I think make it looka bit funky.

  2. I agree with Chris... I'd put glass there too. Saves dust and damage. Hope this helps! :)

  3. It looks great. It is nice to display things rather than just put them away. Clear glass would be my choice.

  4. I would put clear glass in..... your husband could do it since he is so handy just measure the size, have the panes cut and get some timber beading to fix it in place - could be a fairly cheap exercise. Then no more dusting and lots of lovely viewing!
