My dear friend Dendra celebrates her birthday tomorrow so I took her out for a coffee. She had given me an old tablecloth her Mum had hand stitched many years ago and I made it into an apron ready for her birthday, double sided so she can save the "good side" and just wear the reverse side when cooking. She absolutely loved it and as you can see it did indeed bring a smile to her face. The cloth would be approx 45 years old! Now it won't just sit in a cupboard any more.
45 years and it still looks so fresh Jude, lovely colours in the embroidery work, I can see why Dendra loves it, it's like getting it from her mum all over again.
