For me farmers market mornings are great as I live a three minute walk from it! My little red cart goes down empty but sure is bulging when I return. Fresh vegies and yummy home made bikkies - what isn't to like about that?
It's a great atmosphere and lovely to see everyone enjoying shopping! My walk sure beats the supermarket car parking!
I'm off now for a cuppa and a scrummy home made monte-carlo. (gosh I'm going to ask the lady for the recipe!)
I must come to your farmers market. Sounds great Jude.
ReplyDeleteThanks for my beautiful apron.

We have one here in Perth now , they are a lot of fun..:))
ReplyDeleteWhat a bonus to be so close to yours :))
Love farmers markets, lots of good fresh food, also love yout lovely red shopping trolley, Jude.
ReplyDeleteEileen, there is a funny story to the shopping trolly, when Amy lived in Melbourne and trollies weren't available here in Tassie I bought it at a market there and had to bring it home on the plane, I sure did get strange looks, but I ignored them and pretended like I didn't think it at all strange buying a trolly. They didn't even charge me excess baggage - so that was good. :)
ReplyDeleteHello, Jude. Ohhhh, I LOVE Farmer's Markets. Cannot wait for them to start up here again, after the long, cold winter. It's held in the parking lot of a big mall and the farmers set up stands with white umbrella roofs.
ReplyDeleteNow, please pardon my ignorance, but could you tell me what a "bikkie" is? Thanks. writingstraightfromtheheart@gmail.com Take care. Susan
