On entrance to my little child care business at home I have this sign which welcomes everyone in many different languages, one day I will sit down and research all the languages on the welcome sign. I only know a few, but expect many of you lovely ladies will know some of them too, maybe you can help me? :) p.s. my sewing machine is ready to collect from the repair man, can't wait, I have missed it so much.
Dobro dosli is what my Polish friend says.... although I've never seen it written down and Soo dhawow is Somali, but you probably already knew these :) I bet you can't wait to get on with sewing...

Thanks Sue, no I didn't know either of those ones, I will do a translation and write them all down one day. And yes I am so excited to pick up my machine tomorrow, I have many things planned, I didn't think I would miss it this much. :) x
ReplyDeleteHi Jude,
ReplyDeleteLove your sign over your door, where did you get it, it's very unusual. I think Shalom sounds like Jewish, Bienvenidos Spanish and Bienvenue Italian, or maybe the other way around, but I could be wrong on both.
Look forward to seeing lots of sewing projects on blog soon. Glad you have your baby back, I couldn't live without my sewer either.
PS..Seeing all our little grands on Sat will send you some photo's x x x
Hi Jude
ReplyDeleteWillkommen is German.
Dobrodosli is Croatian I think.
