I have never made a tea cosy, and it is so long since I knitted anything I didn't know if I could remember how to follow a pattern. My daughter bought this lovely book at the farmers market book sale $2.00 (thank you to Loralie who used to own the book) and I can't believe how many lovely things are inside to make. A cold wet day has been put to good use. BUT now I am on the hunt for a tea pot small enough - oh that is when I finish the other side! I know what the rest of the day has installed now.
Whoa that is the neatest knitting I have seen! Well done! We still have an order for a st kilda coloured one!! Lol
ReplyDeletemmm you have started something now Kate. I really had to concentrate and tick off the rows or I would have got very confused but am so happy with side one! On to side two. :)
ReplyDeleteWow that's so lovely Jude.
ReplyDeleteA trip to cathys shop for a tea pot?
Chris
I see you are a lady of many talents, lovely knitting, I love blue and white together, bright and fresh, make sure to post the finished article.
ReplyDeleteLove Eileen x
PS. hope you have your sewing machine back and working well again. x
Thanks Eileen, no my machine is still away that's why I picked up the knitting needles, I haven't knitted anything with a pattern since the girls were little (25 years ago!) so I surprised myself. I was amazed when it was growing to see how pretty it turned out. I will post it on the blog when finished. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful knitting, although you must be completely lost without your sewing machine :( Can't wait to see the finished article....

Hi Jude,
ReplyDeleteAs they say ' when one door closes another opens'
but in your case you will be able to run the two side by side, I find knitting is a nice winter hobby.
I can see little Memphis in some nanna sweaters very soon now you have got your kneedles out again.
