Apron Giveaway

Hello bloggers, I am having a giveaway to a blog friend (new or old) if you would like to enter by writing your very best story or memory about an apron! I have made a very bright retro apron with a pocket on the front and gorgeous material with tea cups, teapots and fruit all over. It has a tie at the back and a tie at the neck so is sure to fit one of you lovely ladies. I will close this little giveaway on sunday 20th march and will post off the apron the very next day. I do hope someone will like wearing it! cheers Judy

  1. Wouldn't be fair to put me in your giveaway Jude but my favorite apron memory would be coming home from school and Mum always in a clean fresh apron.
Our mothers never risked spoiling their clothes and looked so neat!!
    Happy memories.

  3. Eighteen months ago, I went to the UK with my husband for the very first time. I think I am the only person to go overseas on holiday taking a pinny. My mother in law was I'll and living alone and we had to find her a place in a nursing home, clean out the family home and prepare it for sale. The man in charge of the tip shook us by the hand when we lift and wished us a safe trip home.

  4. I'm just popping back to say thank you for your lovely comment on my tea cosies on my Sew Happy Shop blog. They were a lot of fun to make. I can't really join your giveaway as that seems unfair as I've only just found you, but I had such a funny thing with an apron yesterday I must tell you. I found a lovely cupcake apron in the local market, and was going to cut it up to use the cupcake fabric! I got it home and my daughter immediately forbade me touching it and took it and is guarding it (I've accepted it's going to hang with the other lovely aprons in the kitchen!). Your apron is gorgeous. Off to take a look around your blog.

  6. Hi from Yorkshire Judy!! Thank you so much for visiting Apples and Pears and for leaving a lovely comment. I am so happy to have been introduced to your lovely blog!! I am about to start making a baby quilt...my very first so a bit scared....and just love looking at all the gorgeous quilts others have made. Hopefully, I will have one of my own to show.

And what a fantastic giveaway here! My apron memory is of my sister and I when we were very little being very naughty and untying Nana's apron as soon as she had tied it. She was our great grandmother and was very old and it would take her an age to tie...then we naughty things would untie it!!!! Nana always wore an apron about the house, as did my great aunt who lived with her. xxx

  7. I have to say I feel really unfortunate.... I don't have an apron story.... I can't say that I ever remember my mum wearing one.... she was not a cook - thousands of horror stories to be told there!! and I take after her in that aspect so the kitchen is not my favourite place. I think your aprons are gorgeous though!
