This piece of lace belonged off a dress of my great grandmother. my mum passed it on
to me. The mother in the photo is my great grandmother do you think I should use it???
I would use it, she did, and I'm sure she'd be thrilled to know that her great -granddaughter used a piece of her clothing.
I would use it on something that wouldn't get high use, mabye hand sew it onto a sweater or something like that - some place where it could easily be removed.
Maybe you could frame it somehow. I have a framed doily that my grandmother made. Maybe make it into a flower. Definetly use it somewhere that you can see it.
Chris I will think of something that you can keep too. How it came about was many years ago Mum made old fashioned dresses for the girls when their was a fancy olden days dress up day at our little primary school that the government was closing down. Mum gave it to me then and wanted me to sew it on the girls dresses. I didn't as it looked too good. I kept it in the family history book and forgot all about it. It came out from England in Aunties belongings! You see that's why my cupboards are so full I keep everything!
